Paul Creager

Paul Kenneth Creager, 98, of Prescott, Kansas, died Friday, August 19, 2005 at Prescott Countryview Nursing Home. He was born May 26, 1907 in LaCygne, Kansas, the son of John and Hattie Lopeman Creager. He taught school in the area schools for a number of years. Paul married Opal Smith on October 25, 1929. She preceded him in death on May 15, 1989. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, LaCygne, Kansas; a Mason and a member of the Kiwanis in California. He helped start CO-OP in LaCygne. He was preceded in death also by his son, Wilbur Curtis Creager; four brothers, Glenn Creager and three brothers who died in infancy; two sisters; Eileen Lawhead and Pauline Strsiak and one granddaughter, April Creager. Survivors include two sisters, Wanda Creager of LaCygne, Kansas and Lela Hanggie of Ontario, California; a brother-in-law, Dale Lawhead; two grandchildren; Paul Curtis Creager and Lori Williams of California; six great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. Services were held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, August 24, 2005 at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel, Pleasanton, Kansas. Interment will be in New Lancaster Cemetery, Miami County, Kansas.
