Patricia Murphy

Patricia Ann "Murph" Murphy, age 84, Olathe, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2015. She was born on July 18, 1930 in Lincoln, Nebraska the daughter of Frank and Bessie Whitlow McKay. She graduated from Lincoln High School. She worked in the hotel industry for over thirty years, the majority managing the Olathe Holiday Inn. She never knew a stranger and made friends with everyone she met. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Jerry Custer and Patrick Murphy, and a son, Michael Custer. She is survived by her daughter, Sheri Custer, dog, Roscoe and cat, Magic. Sheri wishes to thank Good Samaritan and Olathe Hospice for the kind care given to her mother during her illness. A gathering of friends and family to celebrate the life of "Murph" will be held from 11a.m. to 2 p.m., Sunday, July 5, 2015 at the Overland Park Arboretum-Pavilion.
