Oscar Holway

Oscar Holway III age 80 of Blue Mound, Kansas died Friday December 11, 2009 at Prescott Country View Nursing Home Prescott, Kansas. He was born on October 14, 1929 at Worcester, Massachusetts the son of Oscar and Katharine Dennison Holway II. He earned his Bachelors in Business from American International College in Massachusetts, and worked and retired form Sprint as an Executive. He married Ida Conroy on April 2, 1983. He was a member of Independent Telecommunications Pioneer Association (ITPA), he was a member of the Masonic Shrine, Boys Scouts, and after moving to Blue Mound he enjoyed going to the local coffee shop, Ralphs Filling Station. Oscar was preceded in death by a son; Oscar Holway IV, a daughter; Heidi Holway, and two brothers; Nate and Dick Hloway. Survivors include his wife Ida of Blue Mound, Kansas, a daughter; Stephanie Gunther of Rich Hill, Missouri, and seven grandchildren. Due to Oscars wishes he was cremated and a private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
