Ola Yager, 88, of Prescott, KS died Saturday, August 20, 2005 at the Prescott Countryview Nursing Home. She was born December 31, 1916 near Hammond, Kansas, the daughter of Jake and Stella King Turley. She married Charles Yager on August 4, 1934. He preceded her in death on July 1, 1995. She spent most of her life on the farm except for a few years while she and Charles owned and operated the Drive-In Restaurant in Mound City, Kansas. For 30 years Ola also worked as a seamstress for Thelma's Custom Drapes. She was active in community affairs and clubs for many years. She was also a long time member of the Kansas Quilting Club and the American Quilters. Ola was preceded in death by her parents, twin brothers, Alva and Alfa Turley and one sister, Florence Rice. She is survived by her son Gary Yager and wife, Diane of Smithville, Missouri; three grandchildren Kristy Villalobos and husband, Bart of St. Simon Island, Georgia, Elise Yager of Smithville, Missouri and Tony Yager of Kansas City, Kansas; one brother Cecil Turley and wife, Elsie and several Nieces and nephews. Graveside services were held at 11:00 AM at the Fairview Cemetery, Fulton, Kansas. No formal visitation. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or Hospice.
