Norma Jane Long

Norma Jane Long, age 71, of Pleasanton, Kansas passed away at her home on January 1, 2025.  Norma was born the daughter of Norman and Edna (Gordon) Seacreas on May 28, 1953 in Kansas City, Kansas.  She attended and graduated from Shawnee Mission North high school.  Throughout her years of employment she was a mental health aide at the Osawatomie State Hospital.  Norma loved being outdoors doing yardwork, she was an avid animal/dog lover and enjoyed being with family.  She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, James Long.  Norma is survived by a daughter, Lisa Smith, a son, James "Jay" Long (Lela), two bonus daughters, LaDonna Sears and Terri Hartford, one grandson, Jordan Long, a granddaughter, Shelby Travison and her six lovely dog babies.  There are no service scheduled at this time.  The family suggests memorials to the Wounded Warrior Project and may be mailed in care of the Schneider Funeral Home P.O.
