Norma May Lindsay, 78, of Prescott, Kansas, died Thursday, June 25, 2009 at Olathe Medical Center. She was born May 28, 1931 in Pana, Illinois, the daughter of Cecil and Beatrice Presnell Endris. She married Buford W. Lindsay on December 20, 1975. Norma was a member of the Pleasanton VFW Ladies Auxilary and Prescott City Council Member. She was employed as a medical assistant for 20 years, working at Medicalodge Nursing Home and Providence St. Margaret's Hospital. She loved her family and friends. Her hobbies were horses, and going to casinos and playing bingo. Following her retirement, she stayed home to raise her two grandchildren, Tiffany & Julian Metzger. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donita, Eddie and Gary Metzger and Beverly Curry. Survivors include her husband, Bud of the home; her children; Lois Villegas of Kansas City, Kansas; Jefferey Metzger of San Pedro, California, Nancy Metzger of Pittsburg, Kansas and Karrie Metzger of Lawrence, Kansas; two brothers, David Endris of Pana, Illinois and Ronald Endris of Mobile, Alabama; her grandchildren; Donita and Tammy Birchard, Raymond, Joshua, Tiffany, Jeffrey, Robert, Andrew, Shawn and Julian Metzger; Sheena Hayes, Hillary and John Barnes and Kristina Lindsey and eighteen great grandchildren. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel, Pleasanton, Kansas. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:00 PM, Monday at the chapel. Contributions are suggested to the Disabled American Veterans. Inurnment will be at 7:00 PM, Friday , July 3, 2009 at the Prescott Cemetery.
