Nola Williams, formerly of Mound City, Kansas, most recently of the Medicalodge in Fort Scott, passed away March 15, 2007. She was born to Edgar D. and Lela Darcus McKay on December 27, 1911 at Oscar, Oklahoma. Nola was preceded in death by her husband John Williams in 1977; and children James T. "Jiggs" Williams, Joyce "Jean" Baston, O.C. "Carl" Williams, and John "Doug" Williams. Survivors include children, Gable McKay and wife Jennie of Plattsburg, Missouri; and Billie Fay Cox and husband Gerald of Prescott, Kansas. Also surviving are nineteen grandchildren and many great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Services for Nola will be Sunday afternoon at 2:00 PM, at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel, Mound City, Kansas. Visitation will be held one hour before the services on Sunday. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Mound City. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fort Scott Medicalodge Activity Fund or Hospice of Kansas.
