Naoma Morrison

December 30, 1935 — June 22, 2013

Naoma M. Morrison, age 77, Hume, Missouri passed away Saturday June 22, 2013. She was born at Pleasanton, Kansas on December 30, 1935 the daughter of James and Mildred Umphenour Perkins. She graduated from Hume High School in the Class of 1953. In July of that year she married Lee Carrol Morrison at Hume. He preceded in death on October 28, 1997. She was also preceded in death by her father and two grandchildren, Crystal and Cameron. Naoma was a member of the Hume Christian Church and Nature's Jewell Garden Club. She was affectionately known all around Hume as "Grandma Cookie". She enjoyed attending ball and games. Her greatest love was spending time with her family. She is survived by her mother, Mildred Perkins, a son David Morrison and wife Diana, a daughter, Debora Hentzel and husband Marlin, a brother Chuck Perkins, two sisters, Patsy Berglund and Janet Cook, eight grandchildren: Brent, Scott, Brandon, Kayla, Caitlyn, Crystin, Clayton and Colter, sixteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Funeral service will be held 10 AM Wednesday June 24, 2013 at the Hume Christian Church. Burial will follow in the Lawrence Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 PM Tuesday at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Hume Chapel. The family suggests contributions to the Hume Athletic Booster Club.
