Myrle Purdy

Myrle Dean Purdy, age 78, of Pleasanton, Kansas died Sunday May 27, 2012 at the Louisburg Healthcare and Rehab. She was born at Bolivar, Missouri on March 10, 1934, the daughter of Roma and Elsie Stewart Neal. She worked as a waitress and cleaned several businesses in the Pleasanton area. She married Leslie Mincks and to this union eight children were born. She later married Jerry Purdy. Myrle was preceded in death by a sister, Juanita Mincks and four brothers: Arichie Neal, Billy Dale Neal, Billy Edward Neal, and Sterling Hill. She is survived by her husband Jerry Purdy of Pleasanton, seven sons: Dale Mincks and Kathy, Leslie Mincks and Debbie, Jimmy Mincks and Lisa, Charles Mincks and Melissa, Weslie Mincks and Claire, Robert Purdy and Susan, and Shane Mincks; five daughters: Donna Jones and Ronnie, Rita Struble and Mike, Shonna Looney and Danny, Carol Huff and Vonda Hammon, four sisters: Mary Laxton, Mary Jane Cantwell, Shirley Pate, Joella Ashlock, two brothers, Donald Neal and David Hill, thirty-six grand, fifty-seven great grand, and four great great grandchildren. Funeral service will be 2 PM Thursday, May 31, 2012 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. Burial will be in the Pleasanton Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM Wednesday at the Pleasanton Chapel. The family suggests contributions to the Louisburg Healthcare Activity Fund.
