MYRA COBBS Myra May Cobbs, 87, of Jenks, Oklahoma, formerly of Blue Mound, Kansas, died Thursday, April 20, 2006 at South Crest Hospital, Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born October 19, 1918 in Mapleton, Kansas, the daughter of Roy and Berneice Underwood Emmons. She graduated from Blue Mound High School. On March 8, 1941, she married Clair Cobbs at Saginaw, Missouri. He preceded her in death on January 29, 1995. She was employed with the SRS office in Mound City, Kansas, prior to her retirement. Myra was a member of the Blue Mound Federated Church, OES, Rebecca Lodge. She was a collector of oil lamps and enjoyed ceramics. Myra was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Raymond Emmons and one sister, Dorothy Jean Kastl. Survivors include her daughter LaVonne Ruse and husband, Terry of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two granddaughters, Shannon Mann and Tara Ruse and two great granddaughters, McKynzie & Mallory Claire Mann. Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, April 24, 2006 at the Blue Mound Federated Church, Blue Mound, Kansas. Friends may call from 5-6 PM, Sunday at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel, Mound City, Kansas. Contributions are suggested to the Blue Mound Federated Church. Interment will be in Sunny Slope Cemetery, Blue Mound, Kansas. Arrangements: Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home, Mound City, Kansas.
