Minnie Lee Leuty, 79 of Pleasanton, Kansas died Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at Willow Lane Nursing Home, Butler, Missouri. She was born March 21, 1927 in Passaic, Missouri, the daughter of Grover C. and Bessie Mae Durbin Moore. She married Edgar Leuty who preceded her in death in 1959. She later married Vernon Adams who also preceded her in 1982. Minnie worked as a CNA and also in housekeeping in nursing homes prior to retirement. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and the VFW Auxiliary. Minnie was counted on in her community to care for her neighbors in their last days. She was able to reside in her own home in Mound City, with the help of her daughter, Debra, until last November. Survivors include a son, Johnnie Allen Leuty & Joan of Independence, Missouri; three daughters, Donna Jean Short & Jesse of Amoret, Missouri; Cynthia Laverne Fillpot & Oscar of Independence, Missouri and Debra Lee Bruner & Vance of Mound City, Kansas; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Minnie was one of eleven children, with a sister who survives her, Mildred Wales & Charlie of Nevada, Missouri. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 17, 2007 at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel, Pleasanton, Kansas. Visitation will be from 12:30 until service time. Contributions are suggested to the VFW Auxilliary. Interment will be in Hume Cemetery, Hume, Missouri. Arrangements: Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home, Pleasanton, Kansas. Also many nieces & nephews.
