Mildred Lorna Deason, 89, of Oskaloosa, Kansas, died Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at her home. She was born November 10, 1918 in Bethany, Missouri, the daughter of Ernest R. and Dorothy E. Burton Willcut. She married Bruce Deason on February 11, 1944 in Wyandotte County, Kansas. He preceded her in death on December 18, 1992. Mildred worked at Union Station in Kansas City, Missouri during World War II and also for the Sky Hobby Toy Company. She was one of Jehovah's Witnesses in Oskaloosa. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, John Deason; two brothers, E.R. Willcut Jr. and Marvin Willcut and one sister, Evelyn Willcut. Survivors include four daughters, Judy Botello and Karen Deason, both of Oskaloosa, Kansas, Linda Campbell of Olathe, Kansas and Sandy Knight-McCleary of Gold Canyon, Arizona; one sister, Elsie Hinote of Kansas City, Kansas; grandchildren, Victoria Fulmer, Violet Forsythe, Brian Demoret, John W. Deason and Heidi Deason and great grandchildren, Claire Fulmer, Melissa Harmison and Aiden Demoret. Cremation. Graveside memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM, Sunday, August 24, 2008 at the Pleasanton Cemetery.
