Mila Herrmann

Mila "Frances" Herrmann, age 92, of Blue Mound, Kansas died Tuesday May 26, 2009 at the Louisburg Care Center in Louisburg, Kansas. She was born February 19, 1917 in Centerville, Kansas the daughter of Harry and Maude Hime Chaney. She graduated from Blue Mound High School, Fort Scott Community College and received her teaching certificate from Emporia State Teacher's College. She married Chester Herrmann on February 21, 1942 at Blue Mound, Kansas. He preceded her in death on November 8, 1995. She was a member of the Blue Mound United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, the Rebekah Lodge, and the Prairie Valley Circle. She was also preceded in death by twin infant brothers Elsworth and Clark. Survivors include one son; Howard Herrmann and Sharon of Blue Mound, one daughter; Keitha Ann Brown of Mound City, Kansas, five grandchildren: Shawn, Jan, Brandon, Shannon and Leslie, four great grandchildren and one great great grand daughter. Graveside funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday May 29, 2009 at the Sunny Slope Cemetery in Blue Mound, Kansas. Frances will lie in state Thursday from 9 AM to 7 PM at the Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home in Mound City.
