Michael Galcatcher

Michael Eugene Galcatcher, age 55, of La Cygne, Kansas died Friday November 15, 2013 at his home. He was born July 22, 1958 at Claremore, Oklahoma the son of David and Nola May Platt Galcatcher. Michael married Patricia Hood on December 28, 1982 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. He worked for KCPandL as an Operator, was a member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church of Fort Scott, Kansas, and the IBEW. He volunteered as a basketball coach for the La Cygne grade school, collected guns and knives, loved motorcycles, to fish and the outdoors, and lived for his kids and grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents David and Nola May Galcatcher. Survivors include his wife Patricia of the home; a son Michael "Daniel" Galcatcher and wife Angela of Mexico; Missouri, two daughters: Erica Pruitt and husband Michael of Drexel, Missouri, and Terri Galcatcher of La Cgyne, Kansas; two brothers: David and Tommy Galcatcher; three sisters: Mary Anthony, Nancy Brassfield, and Betty Swartz; and two grandchildren: Cheyenne and Bryson Pruitt. Services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday November 19, 2012 at the Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Fort Scott, Kansas. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Monday November 18, 2013 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory La Cygne Chapel. Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery in La Cygne.
