Michael Avery

Michael Earl Avery, 45, of Shawnee Mission, Kansas, formerly of Prescott, Kansas, died December 24, 2007. He was born July 9, 1962 in Fort Scott, Kansas, the son of Earl and Mary Secrest Avery. He was a graduate of Jayhawk Linn High School and attended Pittsburg State University. He was employed with Mr. Mat Carpet Cleaning. Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Avery and one brother, Ronald Avery. Survivors include his father and step-mother, Earl and Elma Avery of Prescott, Kansas; two brothers, Robert Avery of Prescott, Kansas and Harry Avery of Olathe, Kansas and one nephew, Aaron Avery. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, December 28, 2007 at the United Methodist Church, Prescott, Kansas. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:00 PM, Thursday at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel, Pleasanton, Kansas. Contributions are suggested to the United Methodist Church, Prescott. Interment will be in the Battlefield Cemetery, Pleasanton, Kansas.
