Max A. Thayer age 73 of LaCygne, Kansas died Thursday, February 14, 2008 at his home in LaCygne. He was born on October 30, 1934 in Salina, Kansas the son of Arthur and Belle Taylor Thayer. He married Lois Peterson on June 20, 1953 at Junction City, Kansas. He graduated from the University of Kansas in 1958. Max worked in computer services for most of career. At one point he was president of Information Industries Incorporated and later founded MegaForce, LLC serving as CEO. His most recent business venture was the founding of AdKore Staffing Group. He was also CEO of Loma Land and Cattle. Max attended the LaCygne United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Elks, Kansas Livestock Association, American Angus Association, Jaycees, the Executive Committee, Kansas University Alumni Association, the Seminole Lakes Home Association, and served on LaCygne City Council. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Glennys Woy. He is survived by his wife Lois of the home, a son, Robert Thayer and wife Kristi of LaCygne, two daughters, Richelle Faust and husband David of Adamsville, Tennessee, and Karen Fernandez and husband Robert of Overland Park, Kansas. Other survivors include eight grandchildren: Joseph D. and Andrew D. Faust, Bailey, Casey, Tommy and Brody Thayer, Dylan Klemmer and Devin Fernandez. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday February 18, 2008 at the LaCygne United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery, LaCygne. Friends may call from 3 to 5 PM Sunday February 17 at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel in LaCygne, Kansas.
