Mary Price

Mary Ellen Price, age 90, died Friday February1, 2008 at the North Point Nursing Home in Paola, Kansas. She was born on January 27, 1918 near LaCygne, Kansas the daughter of Rollie and May Johnston Coffel. She married James Robert Price on June 1, 1939 at Kansas City, Missouri. He preceded her in death on October 11, 1990. Also preceding her were two sons, Darrel and Bruce Price, four brothers: Kenneth, Robert, Paul and an infant, and two sisters, Ruth and an infant. She worked for Montgomery Ward in Washington and later managed stores in Oregon. She is survived by a daughter Carole Ford of Forest Grove, Oregon, a brother John Coffel of Independence, Missouri, three sisters, Lucy Staton of Pleasanton, Kansas, Thelma Faith of Weaubleau, Missouri, and Patricia Merriman of Onaga, Kansas, several grand and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday February 6, 2008 at the Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home in Pleasanton, Kansas. Burial will be in the West Point Cemetery near Amsterdam, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 1 PM until service time at the chapel. The family suggests contributions to the charity of one's choice.
