Mary Pouche

Mary Alice Pouche, age 89, La Cygne, Kansas passed away on Friday, April 25, 2014. She was born on August 2, 1924 at Greenville, South Carolina the daughter of W. C. and Martha McIntosh Fish. She was married to Raymond Stump, this union ended in divorce. She later married Joe Pouche who preceded her in death.She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Ralph, her parents, mother in law, Cora Stump and brother in law Don Bennett. Mary was a Baptist, being baptized in the Blue River in Georgia. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, gardening, her cats and bird watching. She was a longtime employee at Swan Manor Nursing Home in La Cygne working as a CNA and CMA. She is survived by her sons, Robert and Thomas Stump, daughters, Norma Friend, and Janet Morgan; thirteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 11 AM Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, La Cygne Chapel. Visitation will be held from 10 AM until service time.
