Mary Helen Epps, 86, Pleasanton, Kansas died Friday April 27, 2007 at Prescott Country View. She was born on November 13, 1920 in New Lancaster, Kansas the daughter of Vincent Russell and Helen Avery Coon Ewan. She graduated from Stotesbury High School and received her teacher's certificate from Pittsburg State Teachers College. She married Donald Epps on December 23, 1941. She worked as a teacher, homemaker, and book keeper for the Farmers Exchange in Prescott and Pleasanton Mill & Elevator. Mary Helen was member of the Prescott United Methodist Church, Philo Study Club, EHU and was a past 4-H leader. She was preceded in death by one son John Joe Epps and one granddaughter Stacy. She is survived by one son David Epps and wife Carolyn of Pleasanton, one daughter Jennifer Grasela and husband Joe of Leavenworth, Kansas, six grandchildren: Shelly, Matt, Don, Amy, Joseph and Mary, and six great grandchildren: Beth, Dyamond, John, Zoe, Emma and Addie. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Monday April 30, 2007 at the Prescott United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Littell Cemetery.
