Marvin Dean Willcut, 66, of Blue Mound, Kansas, died Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at his home. He was born September 13, 1943 in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Marvin Lee and Evelyn Myrtle Brown Willcut. He graduated from Pleasanton High School in 1962. On July 13, 1962 he married Patricia Herren at Kansas City, Kansas. Marvin was employed as a truck driver, working in construction and the oil fields. He had also worked for Linn County and the City of Blue Mound. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Truman Willcut and one sister, Sherry Rutford. Survivors include his wife, Patricia, of the home; one son, Marvin Dean Willcut Jr. and Karla of Rantoul, Kansas; two daughters, Brenda Beth and Russell and Rebecca Willcut, all of Blue Mound, Kansas; two brothers, Larry Willcut and Robert Marmon; two sisters, Earlene King and Dorothy Smith; six grandchildren, Darrell, Jason, Lynda, Derek, Karrenna and Carl and three great grandchildren; Haley, Dakota and Emily. Graveside memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Pleasant View Cemetery, Blue Mound, Kansas. Contributions are suggested to the Harry Hines Hospice.
