Marshall Douglas Walker, age 72 of Mound City Kansas died Sunday December 25, 2011 at the University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kansas. He was born on June 30, 1939 at Delta, Colorado the son of Harvey Harry and Avis Geraldine Bewley Walker. Marshall was a 1958 graduate of Westminster High School in Westminster, Colorado. He married Sue Hayes on April 7, 1966 at Littleton, Colorado. Marshall worked in aviation technology for Sundstrand Aviation. He loved to write stories, was an artist, was very good with his hands building black powder guns, and was very good at woodworking; a special item that he built was a grandfather clock for his wife Sue. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife Sue, three sons; Shawn Wayne walker of Canyon City, Colorado, Garry Michael Ginter of Brighton, Colorado, and Ty Aaron Walker of Westminster, Colorado, three daughters; Shelly Renee Lyons of Chicago, Illinois, Sherri Lynn Allison of Denver, Colorado, and Marsha Suzanne Dodson, of Lakewood, Colorado, a brother Lorren Walker of Aztec, New Mexico, 22 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Per Marshall's wishes he was cremated and a memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM Friday December 30, 2011 at the Mound City United Methodist Church.
