Mark Burns

Mark Allen Burns, age 17, of LaCygne, Kansas, died Saturday, September 24, 2005 as the result of an automobile accident. He was born on July 5, 1988 at Fort Scott, Kansas, the son of Lee Burns and Kelli Reeves. He was currently a student in his senior year at Prairie View High School. Before attending Prairie View, Mark had attended Louisburg High School. He was involved in football, wrestling and soccer. He had recently enlisted in the Marine Corp. He is survived by his father Lee Burns of LaCygne, mother, Kelli Jones of Lebanon, Missouri; two brothers, Todd Burns of LaCygne and Tre' Burns of Desert Hot Springs, California; paternal grandparents, Dixie Cousens and husband, Jeff and Bill Burns and wife, Lavonne; maternal grandparents, Vicki and Harry Reeves; maternal great grandparents, Ruby Reeves and Ella Callahan. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 29, 2005 at the LaCygne Christian Church. Visitation is from 6-9 PM, Wednesday at the church. The family suggests contributions to the Christian Church Youth Group or the American Red Cross.
