Margie Mclaughlin

Margie McLaughlin, age 92, Iola, Kansas formerly of Mound City, Kansas passed away on Saturday February 21, 2015. She was born on August 15, 1922 at La Cygne, Kansas the daughter of Grover and Rilla Parker Dean. She was married to Elmer Orton who preceded her in death. She later married Wilgus McLaughlin who also preceded her in death. Also preceding was a son Cecil Ray Orton and a daughter Margie Jean Courtois. Margie worked in the lumber yard in Wellington, Kansas for over twenty years. She is survived by five step daughters: Carol Paddock, Mary Brownback, Judith Wiley,Susan Wichman, and Alice Helton, and several grand and great grandchildren, and friends and extended family. Funeral service will be held 6 p.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2105 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel. Graveside will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at the Summer Memorial Gardens at Wellington, Kansas. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to service Tuesday at the Mound City Chapel.
