Loretta Reynolds

Loretta Ann Reynolds, age 72 of La Cygne, Kansas died Monday December 10, 2012 at the Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri. She was born on March 10, 1940 at Drexel, Missouri the daughter of Sterling and Mable Conley Nelson. She married Kenneth Reynolds on June 11, 1955 in La Cygne, Kansas. Loretta received her beautician license from Fort Scott Community College and owned her own beauty shop; she also worked for Prescott Country View Nursing home fixing hair. She was a member of La Cygne Calvary Baptist Church. She liked to cook, to travel and especially taking care of her kids and grandkids. Loretta was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers: Dale, Donald, and Kenny Nelson. She is survived by her husband Kenneth of the home; two sons: Russ Reynolds and wife Jenny of Pleasanton, Kansas, and Mike Reynolds and wife Melissa of Fort Scott, Kansas; two sisters Betty McDonald, and Marilyn Morgan; and five grandchildren. Per Loretta''s wishes she was cremated and there will be a celebration of her life from 2:00 to 4:00 pm Saturday December 15, 2012 at a family home 722 Vine St La Cygne, Kansas. The Family suggests contributions to the Kansas City Hospice House left in C/O the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory P.O Box 304 La Cygne, Kansas 66040.
