Loretta Mason

Loretta Mae Mason was born September 7, 1924 in Mulberry, Kansas to Samuel George Schilling and Aleeta Ollie Harper Schilling. She passed away, April 4, 2013 at the Prescott Country View Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son Sammy Carl Brooks, and two sisters; Ethel Frankum and Shirley Jean Cortner. Loretta is survived by her daughter Mary Long of Mound City, Kansas, two grandchildren; Michael Long of Overland Park, Kansas and Christi Kirwin (Mark) of Stilwell, Kansas, three great granddaughters; Kelsi and Jessica Kirwin and Taylor Long; and several nieces and nephews. Loretta's life was difficult and she had her share of hardships. Even her last few months she endured terrible pain but she was never unkind to anyone who cared for her. Loretta's sweetness she will always be remembered for. Family is respecting her request for cremation and no service. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
