Lois M. Irwin, age 98, of LaCygne, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at the Louisburg Care Center, Louisburg, Kansas. She was born May 9, 1906 in Amoret, Missouri the daughter of Edwin Franklin Rush and Margaret May Taylor (Rush). She married William Frederick Irwin on August 13, 1935 in St. Joseph, Missouri. Two daughters were born to this union. In addition to being a wife and mother, she taught music in Parker, Miami R1 and Lacygne schools for over 35 years, retiring in 1972. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, PEO Chapter CV in LaCygne, Miami County Retired Teachers Association, TRR and United Methodist women. She is survived by two daughters, Martha Risley and husband, Kenneth of Overland Park, Kansas, Barbara Baird and husband, Clayton of Parker, Kansas. 3 brothers, Ellis, James and Howard Rush; a sister, Jane Furkin, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frederick on July 5, 1979 and two brothers, Paul and John Rush.
