Lois Breuel

Lois Jean Breuel, age 77, Mound City, Kansas died Monday February 27, 2012 at the Prescott Country View. She was born on November 30, 1934 at Parker, Kansas the daughter of Thomas Bert and Evelyn Stringer McCarty. She graduated from Parker High School and attended secretarial school in Wichita. Lois was united in marriage to Don Breuel on February 14, 1953. She worked as a secretary in the Prairie View Schools and later at the Linn County Extension office. She was a member of the Centerville Community Church and the Order of Eastern Star. She is survived by her husband Don of the home, two sons, Greg Breuel and Jackie of Centerville, Kansas, Larry Breuel and Trish of Wellsville, Kansas, two daughters Pam Johnson and Jim of Mound City, and Tammy Peterson and Kelly of Stilwell, Kansas, one brother Doug McCarty, two sisters, Deloris Sims and Doris Unhgericht, nine grand children: Janelle, Jamie, Cody, Tyler, Connor, Trenton, Derrick, Kandice and Lindsey, and two great grandchildren, Nathan and Hank. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday March 1, 2012 at the Schneider Funeral Home, Mound City Chapel. Burial will be in the Woodland Cemetery. No formal visitation is scheduled. Lois will lie in state Wednesday morning until service time at the Schneider Mound City Chapel.
