Lillie Mae McGee, age 82, Ottawa, Kansas formerly of Linn County passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at her home. Lillie was born on March 17, 1934 in Alluwe, Oklahoma to Dawson and Opal (Wilcox) King. On February 14, 1960, she married the love of her life, Wallace E. McGee at Nowata, Oklahoma. She enjoyed being a homemaker and farm wife. She had attended church at Blue Mound Federated, Kincaid Baptist, Colony Christian, and First Southern Baptist. Survivors include son and his wife, David and Leann McGee; daughter and her husband, Donita and Daron Beers; two brothers, Harold and Gale King; five grandchildren, Jacob, Dacia, Courtney, Jeremy, and Stacy; and two great-grandchildren, Justin and Bryce. Lillie was preceded in death by her husband, Wally McGee on November 11, 2014; and four brothers, Charles, Bill, Don and Johnny King. Funeral service will be held at 10 am Saturday, October 15, 2016 at the Wall Street Church. Burial will follow in Sunny Slope Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm Friday, October 14 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel. Contributions are suggested to Step Up for SIDS.
