Lee Johanning

Lee "Shirley" Johanning age 78 of Sugar Valley Lakes near Mound City, Kansas died Tuesday January 8, 2008 at her home. Shirley was born on July 27, 1929 at Fort Scott, Kansas the daughter of Warren and Mildred Mosier Anderson. She married Frederick Johanning on August 24, 1947 at Selma, Kansas. She worked for Motorola, in a produce operation and as a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mound City, Kansas and a charter member of the Advancers Club. She was preceded in death by a son Daniel W. Johanning, three brothers: Jack, Bill and Jim Anderson, and one sister Betty McKay. She is survived by her husband Fred of the home, four sons: Fritz J. Johanning and Penny of Blue Mound, Kansas, David L. Johanning and Kim of Prescott, Kansas, Darrel D. Johanning and Malinda of Laveen, Arizona, and Paul A. Johanning and Cheryl of Glendale, Arizona, twelve grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Friday January 11, 2008 at the First Baptist Church in Mound City, Kansas. Friends may call from 10 AM until service time at the church. Private inurnment will be in the Fort Scott National Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to the First Baptist Church Mission Fund.
