Lee R. Jackson, age 71, Mound City, Kansas died Saturday December 25, 2010. He was born on February 27, 1939 at the family home in rural Blue Mound, Kansas the son of Roy and Ione McGee Jackson. He attended Washington Grade School and graduated from Blue Mound High School. He married Virginia Camille Smith on June 12, 1960 at Wall Street Christian Church. Lee R. worked as a farmer, mechanic, welder, sand blaster and painter. He was a member of the Wall Street Christian Church serving as an elder and as the Chairman of the Church Board. He attended Wall Street his entire life. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother in law, Ralph Miller. He is survived by his wife, Virginia of the home, one daughter Jan Nolde and husband Mike of McPherson, Kansas, one son Jess and wife Sheila of Derby, Kansas, one sister Phyllis Miller of Uniontown, Kansas, one brother in law, Bruce Smith and wife Pat of Harper, Kansas, and grandchildren: Emilee Schmitz, Levi Jackson and wife Brooke, Jake Jackson, Chris Nolde and wife Terra, Brecken Rumsey and husband Andy, Kaydee Nolde and a great grandson Michael Nolde. Funeral service will be held 2 PM Wednesday December 29, 2010 at the Wall St Christian Church. Burial will be in the Woodland Cemetery, Mound City, Kansas.
