Lawrence Crabtree

Lawrence Lee Crabtree, age 79, Pleasanton, Kansas passed away on Sunday February 23, 2014 at the Mercy Health Center. He was born on November 21, 1934 at Butler, Missouri the son of Roy and Alberta Wilson Crabtree. He was a farmer during his working career. He was married to Nellie Jackman-Purdy. She preceded him in death as did his long time companion Donna O'Brien. Also preceding was his parents, a brother John, two sisters Annie and Mary. He is survived by stepsons Bill Banks and Fred Spickler and wife Lisa, step daughters: Joyce Balactas, Mary Scott and husband Don, Jackie Barrett and husband Jeff, Gina Gooderl, Penny Ross and husband Vernon, and Donna Peters, one uncle, Kenneth Brown and wife Ilene, and numerous grand and great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 11 AM Friday February 28, 2014 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. Burial will be in the Prescott Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM Thursday at the Chapel. The family suggests contributions to Linn County Care to Share.
