Laveta Edwards

Fern Edwards, age 83, Kansas City, Missouri formerly of LaCygne, Kansas died Wednesday January 12, 2011 at her home. She was born on January 14, 1927 at Braymer, Missouri the daughter of Levi and Stella Terry Mayes. She worked as an electronic assembler at Bendix before retirement. She was preceded in death by her husband Jess Edwards in 1988 and a grand daughter Kerry Lou. She is survived by two sons, George Schaffner of Pecular, Missouri and Terry Schaffner Sr. of Kansas City, Missouri, three grandchildren, Samantha Schaffner, Terry Schaffner Jr. and Heather Hobart, and six great grand children: Dalyn, Riley, Faith, Hope, Mariah, and Preston. Funeral service will be held at 1 PM Saturday January 15, 2011 at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel in LaCygne, Kansas. Burial will follow in the Oak Lawn Cemetery.
