Laverne Mcmillan

L.S. "Mac" McMillan, age 86, Pleasanton, Kansas passed away Sunday December 16, 2012. He was born on February 4, 1926 at St. John, Kansas the son of Paul and Minnie Gore McMillan. He graduated from Radium High School. Mac was an Army Veteran of World War II, earning a Purple Heart. He attended the University of Kansas and received a Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering. He married Edith Saunders on August 18, 1951. He worked as petroleum engineer for Marathon Oil before retiring in 1983. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Lon Ray McMillan. He is survived by two sons, Dan McMillan and Karen, and Tim McMillan and Jill, one daughter Susie Green and Glenn and seven grandchildren: Chris, Paul, Bryan, and Lauren McMillan, and Blayne, Bryce and John Green. Funeral Service 2 PM Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. Burial in the Pleasanton Cemetery.
