Larry Smith

Larry Elmer Smith, age 69 of LaCygne, Kansas died Friday September 24, 2010 at the Olathe Medical Center at Olathe, Kansas. He was born on March 2, 1941 in Rutledge, Tennessee the son of Elvis and Bernice French Smith. Larry married Esther Beatty on December 8, 1962 she preceded him on April 26, 1993. Larry enjoyed whittling, restoring old cars, taking care of his fish aquarium, and fishing. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Donald Smith. He is survived by three sons Doug Smith of Fontana, Kansas, Gerald Smith of Birmingham, Alabama and Anthony Smith of San Diego, California, His loving companion Margret Wier, of LaCygne, Kansas, and his dog Gus. There will be visitation held from 4:00 to 6:00 Pm Sunday September 26, 2010 at the Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home LaCygne, Kansas. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday September 28 at the Jefferson Memorial Cemetery in Birmingham, Alabama. The family suggests contributions to charity of ones choice.
