Larry Lane

Larry E. Lane, age 71, Pleasanton, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2015. He was born on March 4, 1944 at Duke, Missouri the son of Claude Ewing and Juanita Blanche Jones Lane. He held many positions during his working career, including time at on base at Ft. Leonardwood as a cab driver, Mound City Vault Co., security guard at KC PandL, and in road construction. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Roger, Lloyd, and Elvin Lane, and a sister Betty Coleman. He is survived by his wife, Cathy, two daughters, Tina McMahon and husband Jeff, and Robin Augur and husband David, four brothers: Bill, Danny, Harold and Bob Lane, four sisters: Rhonda Standbridge, Della Wilson, Phyllis Williams, and Linda Thacker, seven grandchildren: Taylor, Shelby, Garrett, Hannah, Chase, Cassey and Christopher, and one great grandchild Jon. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday, September 19, 2015 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. Graveside service will be held 4:30 p.m. Saturday September 19, 2015 at the Curry Cemetery, Mound City, Kansas. The family suggests contributions to the First Christian Church, Augusta, Kansas.
