Junior Clay, age 69, of Osawatomie, Kansas, formerly of LaCygne and Fontana, died Wednesday, September 21, at Miami County Medical Center. He was born July 24, 1936 at LaCygne, the son of Carl and Lucille Marmon Clay. After the death of his mother, he was raised by his grandparents Guy and Myrtle Marmon. He graduated from LaCygne High School in 1954. He married Carol Jean Anderson on May 16, 1959. She preceded him in death on September 24, 1978. Also preceding was a sister, Janice Clay. Junior worked at the Osawatomie State Hospital in nursing and later in security, prior to his retirement. He is survived by three daughters, Janice Deason and Mike of Centerville, Kansas; Sue Clay and Pinkey of Osawatomie, Kansas and Janet Edwards and Bill of Osawatomie; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren, his step mother, Ester Clay and companion, Donna Davis of Osawatomie. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 24 at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel in LaCygne. Burial in the Star Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7-8 PM Friday at the chapel. The family suggests contributions to the Parkinson's Foundation.
