Julia Hime

Marie Hime, age 77, of Osawatomie, Kansas died Friday July 26, 2013 at the Tonganoxie Nursing Center in Tonganoxie, Kansas. She was born on October 7, 1935 in Worland, Missouri The daughter of Herman Joseph and Julie Ann Cheek Leihsing. Marie married Carl Hime in 1959, he preceded her in death on October 24 1990. Marie graduated from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing and worked as a nurse for the Mound City Schools, and later for the Kansas State Hospital in Osawatomie until retirement. Marie was a member of the St Philip Neri Catholic Church in Osawatomie, loved animals, gardening and especially her grandkids. Also preceding Marie in death were her parents, two brothers: Herman Joseph and Emmett David Leihsing; and a sister Lenora Genevieve Jenkins. Survivors include four daughters: Carla Hime of Madison, Kansas, Pamela Hime, of Warsaw, Missouri, Sandra Hime, of Osawatome,Kansas and Kimberly Weers of LeRoy, Kansas; five grandchildren Rachel Feuerborn, Amanda Hime, Nicole Farthing, Tyler Farthing, Weston Weers, and Josie Weers; and a great grandson Holden Keith Feuerborn on the way. Mass or Christian burial will be held at 10: 30 am Thursday August 1, 2013 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mound City, Kansas. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 pm Wednesday July 31, 2013 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory Mound City Chapel. Burial will be in the Centerville Cemetery.
