Judith Ann (Judy) Coleman, affectionately known as Pude, age 66, Mound City, KS passed away Friday, February 28, 2014 at the Olathe Medical Center. She was born on April 13, 1947 at Fort Scott, Kansas, the daughter of Dale and Hazel Burkhead. Hazel died when Judy was eleven. Her father, Dale, later married Barbara Paddock who raised Judy as her own. She graduated from Mound City High School in the Class of 1965. She married Truman Coleman on August 6, 1965 at the Mound City First Baptist Church. Judy was a member of the Mound City First Baptist Church and former member of the Linnettes. She enjoyed attending her children''s and later grandchildren''s activities. She was the Garage Sale Queen, enjoyed watching birds, reading, studying genealogy and history, and spending time at Sugar Valley Lake. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Truman, son Steve Coleman and wife Tisha, daughter Tricia McGrew and husband Chuck, grandchildren: Kayla, Cole and Kiera McGrew, and Austin, Chad and Alyssa Coleman, two sisters, Linda Lynch and Sharon Carbon and two step sisters, Marjorie Nation and Linda Goldberg. Funeral service will be held 10 AM Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at the Mound City First Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Mapleton Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM Tuesday at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel. The family suggests contributions to Linn County Sharing Bucket.
