John Brooks

John Thomas Brooks, 34, of Chicago, Illinois, formerly of Hume, Missouri, died Saturday, January 20, 2007 in Chicago.. He was born January 18, 1973 in Butler, Missouri, the son of James Franklin Brooks Sr. and Shirley Arbogast Brooks. John was a member of the United Methodist Church in Hume. He was employed as a wine steward with the House of Blues in Chicago. He was preceded in death by his father, James F. "Bud" Brooks Sr. and his grandparents, James & Gussie Brooks and Joseph & Mae Arbogast. Survivors include his mother, Shirley J. Brooks King; his step father, Bob King, his brothers, Jim, David, Mitch and Matt Brooks and his sisters, Carreen Rogers and Kathy Fairbanks; two uncles and three aunts; twenty-four nephews and nieces; twenty great nephews and nieces and numerous cousins. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 26, 2007 at the United Methodist Church, Hume, Missouri. Visitation will be from 7-8 PM, Thursday at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel, Hume, Missouri. Interment will be in Lawrence Cemetery, Hume, Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of the Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home, Hume, Missouri.
