Joan Stark

Joan Lee Stark, 77, of Pleasanton, Kansas, died Sunday, April 17, 2011 at her home. She was born July 16, 1933 at Wahoo, Nebraska, the daughter of Willard and Clara Cudrna Russell. She married William Stark Jr. on September 17, 1958 at Albuquerque, New Mexico. He preceded her in death on March 3, 2007. Joan owned and operated the Monkey Business Video store in Pleasanton, Kansas. She was a member of the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce and was actively involved in SEK CAP and Food Growers. She was preceded in death also by one son, Kevin Stark and an infant granddaughter, Fanny. Survivors include a son, William Stark III & Destiny Stull of Pleasanton, Kansas; a daughter, Charla Holt of Parker, Kansas; two brothers, Norman Russell & Phyllis and Ken Russell & Marilyn; 12 grandchildren; Tiffany and Samantha Olson; Amy and Tara Stark, Amanda Gibson, Destiny and Jesse Finkemeier, Jason Lee Stark and Billy Ray Stark IV, James, Jeff and Stephanie Drury; five great grandchildren, Kaylee, Lillian, Ashytyn, Kamryn and Elize; nephews & nieces Donny, Kenny, Ronnie, Linda, David, Randy, Brian & Sharon and numerous other nieces & nephews. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 21, 2011 at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel, Pleasanton. Friends may call from 10:00 AM until service time. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Lung Association or American Heart Association.
