JIMMIE LEE MILLER Jimmie Lee Miller, 74, of Pleasanton, Kansas, died Monday, September 20, 2010 at Prescott Country View Nursing Home, Prescott, Kansas. He was born December 23, 1935 in Foster, Missouri, the son of Virgil and Winifred Frankinfield Miller. He married Rose Mundell on November 15, 1958 at Pleasanton, Kansas. He was baptized on April 2, 1974 at the Amsterdam Baptist Church. Jimmie was a veteran, serving his country with the United States Air Force. He was stationed at Gilbert Air Force Base where he was an airline cook. He worked at a grain elevator prior to his retirement. Jimmie loved his kids and grandkids and had nicknames for all the grandkids. He enjoyed playing his guitar and making country music with his friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Dale and Billy Miller; four brothers, Calvin, Melvin, Robert & Gene Miller and three sisters, Hazel West, Maxine Jacobs and Dorothy Lane. Survivors include his wife, Rose of the home, sons; Jimmie Miller Jr., Eddie Miller, Curtis Miller and Clay Miller, all of Pleasanton, Kansas; one daughter, Rosa Sweat also of Pleasanton, Kansas; fifteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, September 24, 2010 at the Pleasanton Cemetery, Pleasanton, Kansas. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel, Pleasanton. Contributions are suggested to Prescott Country View Nursing Home.
