Jerry Max Boswell Sr., 70, LaCygne, Kansas, died Sunday, November 27, 2005 at Olathe Medical Center, Olathe, Kansas. He was born February 1, 1935, the son of Chester and Pauline "Sis" McClanahan Boswell. He worked for Green Cross Drug Store in Kansas City, Missouri and later in parts delivery for Olathe Ford for about twenty years before retiring in 2001. He married Wanda Lou Hammett on March 7, 1954 at the LaCygne Christian Church. He was a member of the LaCygne Christian Church, he loved to fish and hunt, watch the Chiefs and Notre Dame, take trips to the boats in Kansas City and watch the birds he fed at the numerous feeders in the yard. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Sis. Also preceding him was a daughter, Sharon "Sid" Tap who died on April 3, 2005. Survivors include his wife, Wanda of the home; three sons, Ed Boswell and Terry Boswell, both of LaCygne, Kansas and Jerry Boswell Jr of Leavenworth, Kansas; one daughter, Cindy Jo Salinas of Olathe, Kansas and one sister, Shirley Conner of Olathe; eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 1, 2005 at the LaCygne Christian Church. Visitation is from 10:00 AM until service time at the church. Contributions are suggested to the Lake Mary Center or the LaCygne Christian Church c/o Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home, Box 304, LaCygne, Kansas. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, LaCygne, Kansas.
