Janet Staton

Janet Dean Robinson Staton, age 84, Cleveland, Missouri passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2023.  She was born on February 16, 1939 in Worland, Missouri the daughter of Leon and Lorean Dean Robinson.  She graduated from Hume High School in the Class of 1957.  She worked for Travelers Insurance until she was united in marriage to Roscoe Staton on March 22, 1958 in the Hume United Methodist Church.  The couple moved to Wichita, Kansas.  She worked for an engineering firm for two years.  They then moved to Grandview, Missouri.  She stayed at home raising her children to school age and reentered the workforce.  She worked for John Deere for twenty five years before retiring in 1998.  Janet had a strong faith.  She was a member of the El Bethel Baptist Church.  She loved her family and enjoyed traveling, especially to the ocean.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Kristie, and a brother, George Robinson.  Janet is survived by four sons, Kurt Staton(Barbara), Kraig Staton, Kyle Staton, and Kendall Staton(Debi), seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held 1 pm Monday, March 13, 2023 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel.  Visitation will be held form 12 noon to service time.  Burial will be in the Pleasanton Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Bird Dog Hall of Fame.  Online condolences can be left at www.schneiderfunerals.com.
