Iva Hays

Iva Hays, age 102, LaCygne, Kansas passed away on Thursday April 30, 2013. She was born on April 21, 1911 at Pawhuska, Oklahoma the daughter of Noah and Lettie Clingan Krepps. She graduated from Buffalo, Kansas High School. She married Glen Hays on June 27, 1931 at Yates Center, Kansas. He preceded her in death on July 17, 1979. She was also preceded in death by a son Donald Hays, on April 20, 2005 and a daughter, Barbara Swann on February 7, 2012, four brothers: Claude, Ivan, Lloyd, and Leon and one sister Lelah. Iva was a homemaker and worked at several grocery stores in the LaCygne Community. She attended the LaCygne Christian and Calvary Baptist Churches, was a member of the Star Valley Club and the Cadmus Dance Club. She is survived by a son, Ronald Hays and wife Rosie of Topeka, Kansas, eleven grand, thirteen great grand and nine great great grand children. Funeral service will be held 11 AM Saturday June 1, 2013 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, LaCygne Chapel. Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 AM to service time at the Chapel. The family suggests contributions to the charity of donor's choice.
