Ione Potter

Ione H George Potter, 91, Linn County resident passed away on November 26, 2012 at St Luke''s South in Overland Park, KS. She was born on March 9, 1921 to Frederick and Lutie McNutt Hanson at Semans Saskatchewan, Canada . She graduated from Osage City High School, received her Bachelor''s Degree from Pittsburg State Teacher''s College and Masters from Kansas State University. Ione worked as a teacher for many years and retired as Kansas State Supervisor of School Cafeterias. She was married to Dale Potter who preceded her in death on December 27, 2009. Also preceding her in death were siblings: Fred, Geraldine, Martha and Mildred. She is survived by two son, Dick George and Pam of Linn Valley, Kansas and Tom George and Paula of Cincinnati, Ohio, five grand and 8 great grandchildren. Memorial service will be 2 PM Friday November 30, 2012 at the Linn Valley Community Church. Ione will be inurned at the Pleasanton Cemetery.
