Homer Russell

Homer Wesley Russell age 68 of LaCygne, Kansas died Monday July 24, 2006 at the Olathe Medical Center. He was born at Rock Hill, Ohio on August 10, 1937 the son of Paul and Mildred McEndree Russell. He worked as a coal miner. He married Norma Gordon on March 5, 1982 at LaCygne, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his son Daniel. He is survived by his wife Norma of the home, three stepsons: Michael Gill of Mound City, Kansas, James Barbee of Lakewood, Colorado, and Dan Barbee of Pleasanton, Kansas; one step daughter Kathy Stein of Akron, Ohio, a brother Edmond Hickenbottom of Belmont, Ohio, twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be held at 1 PM Thursday July 27, 2006 at the Oak Lawn Cemetery in LaCygne, Kansas. Visitation will be from 12 noon until service at the Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home in LaCygne. The family suggests contributions to the LaCygne Library.
