HELEN TERRY Helen Grace Terry, 94, of Pleasanton, Kansas, died Thursday, March 30, 2006 at Prescott Country View Nursing Home, Prescott, Kansas. She was born August 19, 1911 in Great Bend, Kansas, the daughter of William and Inez Pratt Paxson. She graduated from Great Bend High School and on May 24, 1932, she married Leo Terry. He preceded her in death on November 3, 1987. Helen was a cook for the Pleasanton Nursing Home prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Bykota Southern Baptist Church of Pleasanton. Preceding her in death were her parents, three brothers, Marion, Calvin and Oliver Paxson; one sister, Gladys Newman and a granddaughter, Colette Fillpot. Survivors include one son, Art Terry of Pleasanton, Kansas; two grandchildren, Dwight Terry & wife, Sabrina and Elizabeth Nation & husband, Mike and eight great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 1, 2006 at the Pleasanton Cemetery, Pleasanton, Kansas. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Country View Nursing Home Activity Fund. Arrangements are under the direction of the Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home, Pleasanton, Kansas.
