Helen Birch

Helen Beatrice Birch, age 90, formerly of LaCygne, Kansas passed away on Tuesday November 6, 2012 at the Olathe Medical Center. She was born at Rosedale, Kansas on August 26, 1922 the daughter of Fred and Beatrice Mae Briscoe Hilsenbeck. She was active in the LaCygne Senior Citizen Center and the Congregate Meals Program. She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Eugene Birch. She is survived by two sons, Buddie Thomas and Eddie Thomas and Donna, two daughters, Pookie Thomas and Patty Ann Addy, 12 grandchildren and 18 great grand children, and extended families of J.R. and Betty Ellis, and Michelle Staton and Dillard Harrison, and Amy and Tim Loomis. Funeral Service will be held 10 AM Saturday November 10, 2012 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, LaCygne Chapel. Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM Friday at the LaCygne Chapel. The family suggests contributions to Linn County Sharing Bucket, c/o Schneider Funeral Home, P.O. Box 304, LaCygne, Kansas 66040.
