Hazel Fern Wills, age 91, Pleasanton, Kansas passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at the Olathe Good Samaritan. She was born on September 12, 1924 in Worland, Missouri the daughter of Joseph and Stella Phalen Leonard. She grew up in and around Worland and was a member of the Worland Baptist Church. She graduated from Hume High School. Hazel married Leroy "Roy" Wills on August 21, 1943 at Fort Scott, Kansas. He preceded her in death on November 14, 1996. Also preceding her was a son Norman Wills. She was a lively resident of Pleasanton for over sixty-five years and was kindly known as "Grandma" to all. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary at Garnett, Kansas, Pleasanton First Christian Church. She is survived by a daughter, Lavera Wood, three sons: David, Raymond, and Tim Wills, six grandchildren: Caitlyn, Bryce, Casey, Zach, Alex, and Diamond Wills, and five great granddaughters: Kayla, Shelby, Emily, April, and Sadie. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, September 19, 2015 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. Burial will be in the Pleasanton Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to service time at the Chapel. The family suggests contributions to the Olathe Good Samaritan.
