Harold Lee Leisure May 15, l931 --- December 22, 2008 Harold Lee Leisure's earthly journey began May 15, l931 and ended peacefully at his home in Pleasanton KS, December 22, 2008 due to heart failure. He now lives eternally in the presence of Christ. Funeral services celebrating his life will be held Saturday December 27 at 11:00 AM at the First Christian Church in Pleasanton. The family will receive friends in visitation Friday evening December 26 from 6:30 to 8:00 PM at the Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home in Pleasanton. Harold graduated from Pleasanton High School in 1949 and Rockhurst University in K.C., MO in 1964. He proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War. Harold is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Leisure, of 57 years, four children, David Leisure and wife Amy, Arlington Texas, Harla Adams and husband Ronnie,Burleson Texas, Brent Leisure and wife Christi, Bastrop Texas Lynnae Sullins and husband Terry, Pleasanton, Kansas; 14 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sister Annette and husband Tom Reed of Pleasanton and sister Dorothy and husband Rollin Spratt of Independence, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Bertha Leisure and granddaughter Shauna Sullins. He deeply loved his church and family and enjoyed many friends. He served his church as an Elder and was given the honor of Elder Emeritus His joys were many and he shared them with his family and friends; college basketball, football, Royals baseball. Holidays were spent surrounded by family and following traditions such as Papa, with the Bible in his hands, reading on Christmas Eve the account of Jesus birth, holding hands and praying together. After building their home, Cedar Crest, and moving back to Kansas in 1984 many many happy times were spent with grandchildren fishing on the many ponds building memories, sharing God's beauty of sunrises, sunsets and rainbows from the top of their hill.
